WORK OF ART: COSIMO DE SANTIS Born in Bitonto in the 1950, he spend his childhood in Trieste and then move definitively to Como. After left the classical studies, he attends the Brera Academy in Milan, first with Pompeo Borra then with Ilario Rossi, get noticed for his great creative capability. WORK EXPERIENCES According to Mario Radice, when Cosimo is only 18, he's master of his craft and his artistic expression yet. He works for design M.I.D. Studio in Milan with Alfonso Grassi, Sandro Lodolo and others designers. When he is 20 years old, he arranges art exhibition in Brera, Milan yet. His works of art immediately comes among important private collections across Europe and America. COSIMO STYLE From figurative autobiographical arts, he gaines more abstract ones in 1975 with "Reale - Irrazionale" (Real - irrational), tridimensional works, until the 80's conceiving of "perishable"scultures. Here borns his "astrattismo timbrico", so later, he establish with some others, the "quick-change movement". All his picture is "energy as insignia of pursuit". While the first decade ('70-'80) is maked by an intense expository activity in the most important italian and european cities (Milan, Paris, Bruxelles, Anversa, London), the second one ('80- '90) is instead lived with a deeper social engagement. De Santis places his study at young artists disposal, for their works exhibitions. Previously he has also managed some "Artistic experimentation courses" for young students and then also for adults. A FREE SPIRIT De Santis always works freely from trends and salons and his artistic temperament reminds closely the sensitive minds of the great and celebrated "Belle Epoque".
